In a collaborative effort with NOIDA POWER COMPANY LIMITED, Pinkishe Foundation initiated 'Project Sankalp' in Greater Noida, a comprehensive initiative designed to bring about positive change by addressing crucial aspects of education and hygiene among young girls and focusing on holistic development and menstrual hygiene.

Nurturing Minds:

The cornerstone of Project Sankalp was its commitment to menstrual health education. Over the project duration, Pinkishe Foundation conducted a series of 100 sessions focused on menstrual hygiene. These sessions were strategically designed to empower and educate approximately 5000 women and girls in Greater Noida. By imparting these essential skills, the project aimed to equip girls with the knowledge and confidence to pursue their aspirations and contribute meaningfully to their communities.

Supporting Education:

Recognizing the pivotal role of education in transforming lives, Pinkishe Foundation adopted 7 schools across Greater Noida for a period of one year.  The objective was to create a conducive learning environment where girls could thrive academically and socially. By partnering closely with school administrations, the foundation aimed to foster a culture of excellence and inclusivity that prioritizes comprehensive menstrual education and hygiene management.

Ensuring Menstrual Hygiene:

Recognizing the critical importance of menstrual hygiene, Pinkishe Foundation distributed monthly sanitary pads to girls in the adopted schools. This initiative aimed to eliminate barriers to education caused by the lack of menstrual hygiene products, ensuring that girls can attend school regularly without interruption. By addressing this crucial issue, the foundation sought to empower girls with the necessary resources to manage their menstrual health effectively.

Recent Developments and Impact:

In recent updates, due to the summer vacation in June, the distribution of menstrual hygiene kits extended over a span of two months. This periodical support ensured that 270 girls in the adopted schools received a total of 942 kits, each containing essential supplies such as pads. Each girl received 4 kits, ensuring they had sufficient resources to manage their menstrual cycles comfortably throughout the extended break. This distribution model not only met immediate needs but also contributed to long-term sustainability and awareness around menstrual health.

Conclusion:

Project Sankalp stands as a testament to the power of collaboration and targeted intervention in fostering positive change. By focusing on education, hygiene, and community engagement, Pinkishe Foundation and NOIDA POWER COMPANY LIMITED have made significant strides towards empowering girls in Greater Noida. Through their collective efforts, they continue to uplift communities and pave the way for a brighter, more inclusive future where every girl has the opportunity to thrive and succeed.
