How the Board works

All three trustees have served on the Board since the trust was set up in 2017.

The Board of Trustees meets at least once every quarter.

The Board is guided by an Advisory Board and a Medical Advisory Board. Our work is run by key functionaries who each lead a department, and a team of around 25 people, many hired locally in the districts where we work. Meet our people

Our accounts, exactly as the auditor signed them.

Pinkishe Foundation's audited figures, audited by Chandni Taneja and Company, Chartered Accountants.

FY 2022-23₹1.01 crore
FY 2023-24₹1.35 crore
FY 2024-25₹3.18 crore
FY 2025-26₹4.52 crore

Donations and grants grew 4.46 times in four years.

FY 2025-26 at a glance

Donations and grantsRs 4,52,15,920
Total incomeRs 4,55,66,904
Total expensesRs 4,97,74,641
DeficitRs 42,07,736

We spent more than we received this year because we used Rs 70,37,937 received in earlier years for the work it was given for, and set aside Rs 28,30,200 of this year's income for the years ahead. The difference is the deficit.

How we keep it low

Our three trustees hold our most senior executive roles and work full time, without drawing a salary or any remuneration. So the cost of our senior leadership does not fall on the work.

Most of our team works from home, and our field staff are hired in the districts where we work. That keeps our running costs low.

The 4.28% includes every project's own administration cost, not just the head office.

In a nutshell

Most of what we raise goes where it should: to the girls and women we serve.

These numbers are partly hidden on purpose: contributions to the issue come only through the exchange, never by direct transfer. How to contribute

Gifts from outside India come only into our FCRA account.

Every return, filed on time.

Every income tax return since FY 2017-18 was filed on or before its due date. Our FCRA returns are certified by our auditor each year, with no violation reported.

Every rupee tracked, project by project.

Each funder's money is tracked separately in our books and spent only on the project it was given for. Our audited accounts show every project, line by line.

Every payment by bank transfer, no loans

How approvals work

Every payment goes digitally to a named bank account. We have not written a cheque in five years. Every expense needs at least two levels of approval, and larger ones need more. The Foundation has no loans.

The person who raises a request never approves it, and finance checks it independently before payment. Withdrawals from our FCRA accounts need all three trustees.

Checked before they funded us. Checked while we work.

Our funders and outside bodies look at us closely, before a single rupee arrives and all through the work.

Before they funded us

Grant Thornton Bharat and Sattva Consulting

Reviewed us on behalf of Indus Towers before funding, and monitored the project.

TTC Global

Reviewed us on behalf of Flipkart Foundation before funding.

CAF and Give

CAF vetted us for its Global Charity Database. Give reviewed us for Give Gold.

NSE Social Stock Exchange

Checked us before registering us as a not-for-profit organisation.

While we work

Social impact assessment, every year

A registered social impact assessor, independent of Pinkishe, assesses our work under SEBI's Social Stock Exchange rules. Reports on request.

Project monitoring

Monitoring partners appointed by our funders: Grant Thornton Bharat and Sattva Consulting for Nari Samman, BharatCares for Dholpur.

Funders' own platforms

Where a funder asks, we report on its own platform, and it checks our data every month.

Reviewed again, every two years

CAF reviews our governance and finances. Give reviews our projects and organisation, for its Give Gold certification.

Our policies are lived, not filed.

23 policies, approved by our Board of Trustees and reviewed every year. Our team is trained on them, starting with POSH and child protection.

Almost everyone on our team works with AI every day, and it keeps us lean. We never put the personal details of the girls and women we serve into AI tools, and a person checks everything before it goes out.

Concerns, including about child safety, can be raised confidentially at info@pinkishe.org. They go to a committee member with no conflict of interest.
