This website, pinkishe.org, is owned and run by Pinkishe Foundation ("Pinkishe", "we", "us"), a public charitable trust established on 1 May 2017. We work on menstrual health in schools and communities across India.
This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, who sees it, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. It covers this website, its forms, sign-ups and donation pages, and our older website news.pinkishe.co.in. It does not cover other websites we link to.
This policy replaces the one effective from 1 May 2017. It was first effective from 19 October 2026 and was last updated on 24 October 2026.
We collect what you give us, and what your browser sends automatically. You do not need to register to read this website.
Information we receive from others. We receive personal information from two kinds of outside sources, and we treat them differently.
Advertising to past supporters. We have uploaded contact details of some of our own donors, including people who gave through Give.do, to Google Ads in a protected (hashed) form, so that our ads can reach people who already support us. Google matches these only to its own accounts and cannot read the original details. In September 2026 a list of DaanVeda prospects was also uploaded to Meta in the same protected form. It is not used in any advertising, and we will not use it or upload more unless DaanVeda's terms allow it. You can ask us to remove you from any such list by writing to info@pinkishe.org.
We use these companies' tools. Each may receive some information about your visit, and each uses it under its own privacy policy.

What we have switched off. Because many visitors read our health pages, we have chosen to limit what these tools do. We do not send Google or Meta the email addresses or phone numbers you type into our forms, even in protected form. Google signals is switched off, so Google does not link your visits here to your Google account. Ads personalisation from this website's data is switched off in Google Analytics. We do not build advertising audiences from visits to our health pages.
Measurement on your device. From 12 November 2026, Meta may measure whether its ads led to a donation using information that stays on your own device, without sending identifying information to Meta.
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. They help a site recognise repeat visitors, count visits and measure how well our ads work. The tools in the previous section set cookies or use similar technologies in your browser.
These tools run when you open a page on this website. If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the advertising and analytics tools listed above do not load, and no information about your visit is sent to them.

With sponsors and partners we may share counts only, such as how many people attended an event or the average donation. These never identify anyone.
Some of these companies keep information on servers outside India. We use only established providers who protect it under their own security standards. We use your information on the basis of your consent, the donation you make, our legal duties such as tax receipts, and our interest in running and improving the website.
This website has guides, quizzes and tools for girls, boys, parents and teachers, so some visitors are under 18. If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian before you give us your email address or any other detail.
Our period tracker and quizzes work inside your browser and do not send your answers to us. We do not pass sign-up details to any advertising company.
Our wall of love shows notes that readers choose to share. Our team reads every note before it appears. For anyone under 18, we never show a name or a photo, only a cartoon face, an age group and a state, and we do not ask for an email address. Grown-ups may give their email if they want us to write to them, and may ask for their photo to be shown with their note. We show a photo only after the person has sent it to us and said yes. To have a note or photo removed, write to info@pinkishe.org.
How long we keep it.
Your rights. You may ask us to show you the information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, and to take back a consent you gave us, for example for emails. Write to info@pinkishe.org. We will reply within one month.
Grievances. If you have a concern about how we handle your information, please write to our grievance contact, Vandana Gupta, Trustee & Treasurer, Pinkishe Foundation, at info@pinkishe.org. We will address it within one month.
Card and bank security. Payments on our donation pages are handled by our payment partners. Your card number is used only for that payment and is not stored by Pinkishe. If you allow your card or bank details to be kept for a regular donation, they are kept by the payment partner's financial institution, which follows industry standards. Our pages use HTTPS encryption to protect your information.
Is my donation eligible under Section 80G? Yes. Donations to Pinkishe Foundation are eligible for tax deduction under Section 133 of the Income-tax Act, 2025 (earlier Section 80G). A donation in cash is eligible only up to ₹2,000, so for larger amounts please give by online payment, bank transfer, cheque, demand draft or pay order. Pinkishe Foundation is registered under FCRA, and foreign contributions come only into our FCRA account, through our international giving page. To claim the deduction, please keep your donation receipt as your record. A receipt is sent to the email address you gave when you donated, as soon as your donation is processed.
Refunds. Please read our Refund policy, linked in the footer of every page.
Security. We take reasonable steps to protect the information under our control from loss, misuse and change. No website or internet service can be made completely safe, so please take care with what you share.
Links to other sites. This website links to other sites. Once you leave ours, we do not control them and are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. Please read their policies. This policy covers only our own websites.
Changes to this policy. When we change this policy, we will post the new version here and change the date above. If we plan to use your personal information in a way very different from what we told you when we collected it, we will tell you by email, where we have your address, before we do.
