On 5th October 2024, the NSS ARSD, in collaboration with Pinkishe Foundation, successfully conducted a Menstrual Health & Hygiene Education Camp at JJ Camp in Delhi. This impactful event aimed to educate young girls about essential menstrual health practices while ensuring they had access to necessary hygiene products.
During the session, participants were educated on the importance of menstrual health and hygiene, with a focus on understanding the menstrual cycle and its implications for health. The facilitators emphasized maintaining personal hygiene during menstruation and addressing common myths that often surround the topic. The interactive nature of the session encouraged girls to engage in open discussions, ask questions, and gain confidence in managing their menstrual health.
Following the educational session, a free sanitary pad distribution drive was held, ensuring that every participant received essential menstrual hygiene products. This initiative was vital in addressing the challenges many girls face regarding access to sanitary pads, which can often hinder their ability to attend school and participate fully in their education during their periods. On June 18th, 2024, Pinkishe Foundation and The Paree Project organized an impactful camp in Greater Noida, educating 58 women on menstrual health and distributing reusable pad kits.
