On July 20, 2024, a transformative Menstrual Hygiene Literacy Camp and Free Pads Donation Camp was held at Kaimrala, Greater Noida, under the leadership of Anita Yadav. This pivotal event, integral to ongoing efforts in women’s menstrual health  provided essential menstrual health education and resources, addressing critical issues such as period poverty and feminine hygiene.By providing essential sanitary pads and menstrual education, the camp addressed significant issues related to period poverty and feminine hygiene.Attendees not only received  vital sanitary pads but also valuable knowledge, marking a significant advancement towards a healthier, more informed future.

Comprehensive Menstrual Health Education at the Camp

During the session, participants received comprehensive education on several aspects of menstrual health. The discussion began with an overview of the menstrual cycle, including its phases and what constitutes normal variation in menstrual flow and discharge. This foundational knowledge helped clarify common concerns and misconceptions.

The camp promoted best practices for menstrual hygiene, recommending the use of sanitary pads or other hygienic products specifically designed to manage menstrual flow. Participants were advised to ensure these products are clean and changed frequently to prevent infections and maintain overall health.
