Successful Menstrual Health & Hygiene Education Camp Conducted on 28th September 2024

On 28th September 2024, Pinkishe Foundation organized a Menstrual Health & Hygiene Education Camp at Lalkuan, near Humdard Dawakhan. This impactful event, led by Baijanti Sinha, aimed to empower young girls with essential knowledge about menstrual health and hygiene.

Educating Girls About Menstrual Health

The session focused on educating girls about the physiological and emotional aspects of menstruation. Participants learned about the importance of maintaining hygiene during their menstrual cycles and the significance of using sanitary products. Baijanti Sinha facilitated an open and supportive environment, encouraging girls to ask questions and engage in discussions. This interactive approach not only informed them but also helped demystify menstruation, breaking down the stigma often associated with it.

Free Sanitary Pad Distribution

A key highlight of the event was the free sanitary pad distribution that took place after the educational session. By providing essential menstrual hygiene products, Pinkishe Foundation aimed to address the critical issue of accessibility for young girls, ensuring they have the resources they need to manage their periods with dignity. This initiative plays a vital role in preventing school absenteeism due to lack of sanitary supplies, empowering girls to continue their education without interruption.

Fostering Confidence and Awareness

The Menstrual Health & Hygiene Education Camp was designed not only to educate but also to build confidence among participants. By fostering a safe space for open dialogue, the event encouraged young girls to embrace their natural biological processes and understand the importance of self-care. The discussions held during the camp instilled a sense of pride and empowerment, equipping girls with the knowledge to take charge of their menstrual health.

Continuing the Mission

Through initiatives like these, Pinkishe Foundation remains committed to promoting menstrual health awareness and ensuring every girl has access to the education and resources necessary for their well-being. By breaking the silence surrounding menstruation, we are paving the way for a more informed and empowered generation of young women.
