In a noteworthy demonstration of community dedication,On July 24, 2024, Good Samaritan School in Madanpur Khadar, South East Delhi, became a center of menstrual health education during the Menstrual Hygiene Literacy Camp.The camp, organized by Shalini Gupta, aimed to promote menstrual health education and address period poverty by providing sanitary pad donations to 120 girls. This initiative was part of a broader effort in community outreach and social welfare, focused on women's health advocacy.
The camp featured an engaging interactive session where the girls actively participated by asking various questions about menstrual hygiene and health. Shalini Gupta, a seasoned advocate in women’s health, addressed all inquiries with clarity and empathy, ensuring the participants felt informed and supported. The session was designed to make learning about menstrual hygiene both educational and enjoyable, emphasizing the importance of feminine care and menstrual cycle education.
To enhance understanding, the educator used a prop to demonstrate the female reproductive system, providing a clear visual representation of menstrual health. Additionally, a range of menstrual products were showcased. This hands-on demonstration aimed to educate the girls about the different menstrual hygiene products available and their proper use, contributing to better menstrual hygiene management and combating period poverty.
