Creating Awareness at the Heart of the Community

On December 16, 2024, Pinkishe Foundation organized a transformative Menstrual Health & Hygiene Education Camp at the Ghazipur Mahila Panchayat Office, D-325 Sapera Basti, Gharoli Gaon, Delhi-96. Spearheaded by Ghazala, this impactful initiative was designed to educate women and young girls about menstrual health, hygiene practices, and dispelling long-standing taboos surrounding menstruation.

Addressing Critical Menstrual Health Issues

The camp provided a safe and open platform for participants to learn about the science of menstruation, proper hygiene management, and ways to address common misconceptions. Ghazala, a passionate advocate for women’s health, engaged the attendees in meaningful discussions, breaking barriers of silence and fostering a sense of empowerment among the women and girls present.

Bridging the Gap with Free Sanitary Pad Distribution

A key highlight of the session was the distribution of free sanitary pads to all participants. This initiative not only supported the attendees in adopting healthier menstrual practices but also addressed the financial barriers many women face in accessing basic hygiene products. It was a step towards ensuring that no girl or woman is left behind due to a lack of resources.

Transforming Lives Through Knowledge and Action

The event wasn’t just about sharing information; it was about creating a ripple effect of change. Women and girls left the session better equipped to manage their menstrual health and inspired to share this newfound knowledge within their families and communities. The energy and engagement at the event reflected a shared commitment to breaking the stigma and building a future where menstrual health is a priority.

Building a Healthier, Informed Community

This recent camp by Pinkishe Foundation underscores the organization's dedication to uplifting underserved communities through education and action. The initiative not only addressed pressing health concerns but also inspired collective efforts to normalize discussions about menstruation.
