Empowerment starts with education and access, and this sentiment was at the core of the menstrual hygiene literacy camp organized by Pinkishe Foundation at Govind Ballab Pant Inter-College Bhowali, Nainital, led by Upasana Tulera.

During the session, girls were encouraged to engage in open and interactive discussions about menstrual health, fostering an environment where everyone could learn from one another and address common concerns. This approach not only provided valuable knowledge but also helped break down taboos and stigma surrounding menstruation.

Towards the end of the session, sanitary napkins were distributed to ensure that all attendees had access to necessary hygiene products. This distribution not only provided immediate relief but also emphasized the importance of access to reliable menstrual products. Access to such products is crucial as it improves overall menstrual hygiene, reducing the risk of infections and other health issues that can arise from using unsafe or unhygienic alternatives.

Through initiatives like these, we take significant steps towards empowering women by providing them with the knowledge and resources they need to confidently manage their menstrual health.
