A year of sanitary pads, education and support for 100 girls, kept at school so no girl is caught without a pad during school hours.

A teacher at a middle school in Mokama, Patna district, wrote to us in September. Most of the girls in her school come from poor rural families.
She told us that many girls get their period suddenly during school hours and need a pad at once, and there is nowhere at school to get one. The school wants to keep an emergency pad bank on its premises, so that no girl has to leave class or go home for this.
The school has offered to share any details our team needs.
The photo shows a PadBank cupboard from our earlier work in another school. Photos from this school will follow once the pad bank is set up.
