On 7th December 2024, the Rotaract Club of Mulund Hills in collaboration with Pinkishe Foundation, will host a Menstrual Health and Hygiene Literacy Session at Navbharat Nutan Vidyalaya, Mulund West, Mumbai. This initiative is aimed at equipping young girls with essential knowledge about menstrual health and hygiene.
The event will focus on educating young girls about the biology of menstruation, effective menstrual hygiene practices, and debunking common myths and taboos. Through this session, the girls will be empowered to take charge of their menstrual health with confidence.
By encouraging open dialogue on menstruation, this event aims to dismantle societal stigmas and normalize discussions around periods. The session will create a safe space where participants can freely share their concerns and ask questions.
To complement the educational session, free sanitary pads will be distributed among the participants. This effort ensures that girls not only understand menstrual hygiene but also have access to essential hygiene products to manage their periods with dignity.
This upcoming event is a testament to the collective commitment of Pinkishe Foundation and the Rotaract Club of Mulund Hills to improving menstrual health and hygiene awareness. Together, we strive to create a society where menstrual health is prioritized, and no girl is held back due to a lack of resources or education.
This initiative is part of our broader mission to empower young girls with the tools and knowledge they need to live healthy and confident lives. Stay tuned for updates and highlights from this transformative event!
