Promoting Awareness on Menstrual Health and Hygiene in Farooqnagar

On April 11, 2025, Pinkishe Foundation joined forces with Pragathi Welfare Society to host a Menstrual Health & Hygiene Education Camp and Free Sanitary Pad Distribution in Burggula, Farooqnagar, Rangareddy, Telangana. This initiative aimed to educate local women and girls on menstrual health, hygiene practices, and the importance of access to sanitary products.

Raising Awareness on Menstrual Health and Hygiene

The session, conducted by experts from Pragathi Welfare Society and supported by Pinkishe Foundation, covered topics such as the menstrual cycle, hygiene maintenance, and common myths. The event emphasized breaking taboos and encouraged women and girls to adopt better menstrual health practices for improved well-being.

Ensuring Access to Hygiene with Free Sanitary Pad Distribution

In addition to the educational session, free sanitary pads were distributed to all attendees, ensuring access to essential hygiene products. This initiative is aimed at promoting menstrual health in communities where sanitary products are often inaccessible, empowering women and girls to manage their menstrual health effectively.

Creating Safe Spaces to Break Menstrual Health Stigmas

This event was not just about education but also about creating a safe, open space for women and girls to talk freely about menstruation. By encouraging dialogue and providing accurate information, Pinkishe Foundation and Pragathi Welfare Society worked together to break down the stigma surrounding menstruation.

Pinkishe Foundation’s Commitment to Empowering Women and Girls

The camp reflects Pinkishe Foundation’s ongoing efforts to provide menstrual health education and distribute hygiene products to underprivileged communities. Through these partnerships, we aim to empower women and girls, improve menstrual health outcomes, and create a world free from menstrual health taboos.
